Lenience is committed to minimising its carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices throughout its operations.
We recognise the importance of environmental responsibility and are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment. Our approach to Zero Carbon 2030 can be summarised as follows:
Energy Efficiency: We have implemented the concept of using energy-efficient technologies and practices to reduce energy consumption. This includes the use of LED lighting, smart thermostats, and inverters and energy-efficient appliances.
Green Procurement: Lenience's prioritizes suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability. We source products and materials from eco-friendly suppliers whenever possible to reduce the carbon impact of our supply chain and according to the regulations of the European commission and MHRA regarding the Medical devices industry.
Waste Reduction: We have established waste reduction and recycling programs to minimize the amount of waste sent to landfills. This includes the responsible disposal of electronic waste (e-waste) and the recycling of packaging materials.
Transportation Practices: We encourage the use of eco-friendly transportation options among our employees, including, public transit, and cycling. Additionally, we aim to optimize our delivery routes to reduce emissions.
Telecommuting & Work from home: We offer telecommuting options to our employees and to work from home to reduce the carbon footprint associated with commuting to the workplace.
Lenience is dedicated to further reducing its carbon footprint over the life of the contract with NWSSP.
We have established a clear roadmap for achieving this goal:
Carbon Reduction Policy: We will develop and implement a comprehensive Carbon Reduction Policy that outlines our commitment, strategies, and targets for reducing carbon emissions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): We will establish measurable KPIs to track our progress in reducing carbon emissions. These KPIs will be regularly monitored and reported to NWSSP.
Renewable Energy Adoption: Lenience will explore opportunities to switch to renewable energy sources for our facilities whenver & wherever possible, such as solar or wind power, to reduce our reliance on traditional power resources etc.
Supply Chain Collaboration: We will work closely with our suppliers to identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions throughout our supply chain. This includes optimising transportation logistics and minimising packaging waste when it will be possible and compliant according to the industry requirements.
Employee Training: We will provide ongoing training to our employees on carbon reduction measures, emphasising the importance of their individual contributions to our sustainability efforts.
Lifecycle Assessment: Lenience will conduct a comprehensive lifecycle assessment of our products to identify areas where carbon reduction can be achieved during the manufacturing and distribution processes.
Regular Reporting: We will provide NWSSP with regular reports detailing our progress toward reducing our carbon footprint. These reports will include data on emissions reductions and our adherence to established KPIs.
By implementing these measures and continually evaluating our carbon reduction efforts, Lenience is dedicated to achieving a significant reduction in our carbon footprint over the life of the contract with NWSSP.
We are committed to be transparent in our reporting and ongoing collaboration to ensure our sustainability goals are met.
